Operation of the Emigrant Support Programme in the USA

The Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade approves grants under the Emigrant Support Programme for organisations based in the US having considered the recommendations of the Embassy of Ireland in Washington DC., having consulted with the Consulates as required. 

In 2012, the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, Mr. Eamon Gilmore T.D. approved grants totalling €1.7 million (US$2.1 million) to organisations based in the US, details of which can be found in the "Related Document" section - see link at the bottom of this page.

Any queries on the operation of the programme in the US may be directed to the Embassy of Ireland in Washington DC or to the nearest Consulate General, New York, Boston, Chicago, Atlanta or San Francisco.
